Come on, Shaniqua, let’s go home now

I’ve been on academic retreat in Porirua, just north of Wellington, staying with Marei until I manage to squeeze out about thirty pages on Sherpas and anthropological scholarship. The relative quiet and the large dining room table to spread aaaaaaall my crap out on are great (not to mention stellar motivational speeches such as “just hurry up and write the boring bit! Then let’s go to the movies.”), but not as awesome as being able look out at this:
